Under my thumb

cyranoJust after I left my last job, I took a trip out to Florida where I dropped a table on my thumb. This was not the entire purpose for the visit, mind you. However, it did some damage and I was afraid I was going to have trouble with it later.
In the end, all it did was leave a little white mark.
And now I'm kind of using that as a bookmark, as the white mark crawls up the nail, an indication of how much time has passed since then. The pink underneath the mark is a new job, a new life, new possibilities and new options.
