My head has been explodey all day--sinus pressure mostly, I expect. My ears feel like somebody whimsically jabs ice picks into them on occasion. I begin to wonder if I have a pet dander allergy--I haven't had this trouble since I lived in a house with cats.
However, barring the whole malady and illness thing, tonight was keen. In honor of the martyrdom of Saint Valentine, we had a Girls' Night In with girly viddy (Bridget Jones' Diary) and pizza and cheesecake yummies and cookies and ribald valentine cards.
Seeing Colin Firth makes me want to drag _Valmont_ out and watch it again.
And then watch _Water for Chocolate_ and _LA Story_ and whatever other sappy films I have on hand. But with luck this will pass.

Mm...Colin Firth

Don't your parents have cats? How did you feel up there?

The symptoms sound like a cold, but I will endeavor to bathe Toast in the anti-allergen soap this weekend, and see if it helps. And I was also eyeing HEPA air filters yesterday, for the allergic guests....

Yep.

My parents have cats, and dogs, and L&S have one of each.
In fact, that was where my suspicions were centering around, not Toast.

I'm desperately wanting an A&E Pride and Prejudice marathon with lots of Colin Firthiness (not to mention Jennifer Ehleness) but it will probably have to wait until after Mother's Day... *sigh*

I'm only allergic to about one cat out of twenty or more. I had my own cats growing up, and always enjoy playing with cats, and never had any problems except with my good friend Amy's cat Beauford (biggest, meanest cat I've ever met) and maybe one or two others to lesser extents. Something about Beauford would have me clawing at my eyes within 15 minutes every time I went over if I didn't take some Benadryl first.

Well, if it doesn't pass -- gimme a call.

It's funny....

I'm so used to doing emphasis and underlining and stuff on a straight telnet window that I forget that HTML has a way that you can do that more prettily.

It would be unusual to experience an allergy after leaving the site of the allergen. Or to continue to experience it so long after leaving the presence of the allergen. Toast could be a factor (adorable as he is). You might want to try washing your hands every time you touch him. It's pretty neurotic, yes, but can be helpful.

Speaking as someone who is *highly* allergic to cats, but thinks they're just too cute.

OOH!!! If you do that, let me know!!! I own it too, if you don't already have it and want to borrow it!!

The BBC Pride and Prejudice is also a really wonderful adaptation. It's the one I fell in love with as a little girl.
