Free Rice!

I don't know who Free Rice are, or if they actually give anybody any rice, but they say they do and they give you a word game in the process. I wasted far too much of my afternoon trying to build my score. I got up to 49 ever so briefly (like one word ever so briefly) and after 2000 grains when I finally said "I must quit now" I was at 47.
Aberdeen and I decided that if they gave you atropous it was cheating to look up 'heliotrope' for the etymology.

EDIT:
I was trying to decide whether I took my lunch hour and went for a walk or if I used the fact that I didn't go to lunch to go home half an hour early. A friend's post has just decided me. Walkies!

I love FreeRice and have wasted hours there. I made it to 47...but never higher.
