cyranoAccording to the Associated Press, President Bush told congressional leaders privately on Thursday he favors personal income tax rebates and tax breaks for businesses to help avert a recession, officials said, as Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke joined in calls for an economic stimulus package.
I figure that if tax breaks are good when the economy is thriving, they'll be twice as good six years later when the economy is down, right? Or maybe that's just the only domestic policy trick this pony has.
If his next recommendation is that we all go on vacation and cut brush to improve the economy, then I'll know for certain.
