I was going to do this, but then I got to 2004/2005. My CD player died in fall of 04, so I ended up listening to the radio (also, there was awesome shit like Hey Ya! at the time),. I got an iPod for Christmas, but it died that summer. I was working at a camp in the northwoods of Wisconsin, so I couldn't get it replaced til the end of August. I spent the whole summer with 95.5 WIFC Wausau, and therefore remember the chart hits all too well. And I can't pick a favorite. Since U Been Gone, Holiday, 1 Thing Mr. Brightside, Switch, Best of You: it was a good year for pop hits. (Topped by the unfortunate, overrated We Belong Together, sadly. There's a part where she sings "If this is too deep, then just change the station," which I always was glad to do. But deepness ain't the problem, honey. Also, Hollaback Girl isn't exactly good, but it's a perfect guilty pleasure song. Also, it's the reason I can spell bananas perfectly! And My Humps isn't even in the top 20, so leave me alone about that one. I'm sure the people out there who did like it have the same guilty pleasure excuse I do for Hollaback Girl.)

Then again, maybe it's just too soon.
