Why do I waste valuable time on people who I'd much rather kick in the eye?

I'm feeling overwhelmed and overscheduled. I've done little to no reading in the past year since starting the new job, I have three issues of my weekly news magazine (the subscription to which I'm letting lapse next month) sitting in my bag unperused, and the list of things that need to be completed (or at least I feel need to be completed) keeps growing because I'm not catching up. I have yet to decide whether it's because I'm taking on too much or because I'm wasting time. It makes me hope a little bit that the dance class people do screw up and I can quit the class with righteous indignation and a refund.

Anyway. Speaking of wasting time, It's Friday! Last week's theme seemed to inspire a great deal more participation than usual. Which made me happy. So I'm thinking of changing the format. Perhaps It's Friday I Ask You a Question Day. Or perhaps I provide some kind of suggested (but non-exclusionary) theme for questions.
