It's been a while since my last post, but I am not going to attempt a recap.

Got done with my driving lesson, walked in, shut the door, and cried until I threw up. I ranted at Julian about what a basket case I was until she politely pointed out that I was being a little too demanding of myself. I have determined that my subconscious nemesis is a psychological hyaena--mean spirited and bad tempered but possessed of a savage cunning and a great deal of patience. It skulks until there's a good opening, and then lunges. It's not very sportsmanlike.
The lovely and talented Ebonlock talked to me while I decompressed, and made me laugh and feel better. And I have not yet killed the cat, despite a clear and obvious need for killin' which it exhibits.
Then I went out and walked in the sprinklers, pretending it was rain, and found the center again. Deep breaths and sinking the chi.
The test is Saturday. Then it'll be done with.

I lied. I want to at least recap the NERO event this weekend, which I lured Luc to part of, and after he left for his party, I was asked by many where my handsome friend had gone, and they hoped he'd had a good time while he was around.
I got to play a Seelie and an Unseelie, and it was a lot of fun, and I want to talk to plot about hatching the Blue baby egg, and I didn't have to fight in every scene. In fact, in once scene....
(flashback wipe)
We were supposed to be a party of four trolls, looking for a warlock to ask him to have a meeting with their boss. Charles looked at me and said my head was way too big for a troll mask, so I became a human mercenary working with the trolls. We were supposed to be a beat-up party of cannon fodder for a low-level group of adventurers. They watched us, and fussed and worried that we were too mighty for them, so they tried to lure us into the warlock's cave. He looked rather put out and said "Why did you bring me live trolls? I need *dead* trolls to make the spell components." We reacted hostilely, and a deal was quickly offered that if I didn't attack and turned over my troll buddies, the warlock would meet with my boss. I hummed and nodded, and stepped back. "It was nice working with you, boys."
So the band jumped on my crew, they got their dead troll bits, and I got the meeting between the warlock and my boss. (Which is another thing I'd like to talk to plot about having possible repercussions. Who's the boss? What's he want from the warlock? That kind of thing.)

I point these things out only because they happen to me, and I don't realize it til far FAR too late. So hey, nice I can point it out to /someone/...

Terribly sorry to have not managed to return at all, despite reassuring Ramses (*snicker* I misheard his name the first time, so now it amuses me to use it. Nothing personal towards him; I appreciate his friendliness and helpfulness and I think he's a capital fellow.) that "I'll be back." (delivered in nothing like an Ahnold voice.)

I had an excellent time, for what I was there for, and look forward to the next event. If I'm double-booked, NERO will get priority instead of trying to do two things at once. Which reminds me: I still need to sign up for membership, NPC Guild, and the list. *browses website* Good gawd, there's a NERO West MUSH (http://www.nerowest.com/reality/mush.html)?!</rhetorical>

So did CJ give you a ride home and play with your ex-kitten?

Yeah, Ramsey is a capital fellow, and is typical of the plot crew. One of the things I really like about the NERO bunch.
CJ did not give me a ride home, and she bailed on the cat until the next night. But she showed eventually, and called the cat the most adorable thing in the world, and we watched something called 'Never Been Kissed' which was not a bad film, just formulaic and predictible and disappointing. I didn't get the 'training montage' I was expecting, so at least that was different, and LeeLee Sobieski was in it (the young Helen Hunt) as the drop dead gorgeous geek girl, and that's always nice.
Oh yeah, and there is a NERO MUSH. I'm on it now, hangin' and chillin' with my medieval homies.

I thought "Never Been Kissed" was sweet, but I'm a sap, I like Drew, and I was, honestly, expecting far worse. And LeeLee didn't hurt things one whit. Need to see her version of Joan of Arc, though I have my doubts.

So I obviously need a NERO handle to be where the cool kids are at. I did manage to paypal them my membership dues & books fee and I printed out and filled out their paperwork (reminds me of college, all of a sudden).
