Quick update on this. I'm amazingly pissed off about the driving test thing. I hate that I'm terrified by this, and I hate feeling weak because I can't handle something that is so central to my culture. And I hate that a part of me uses this fear as a wedge to attack me. But I will be damned if, before this permit expires in August, I will not have beaten this minor, yet symbolically significant, hurdle.
