Karjack pointed me toward this article in the Rolling Stone. Its style is slightly inflammatory, but it is RS. If you want to add a little soupcon of anger to what you'll get from reading this, ask your self why it is that we have to go to a magazine that puts the Jonas Brothers on the cover in order to get actual reporting like this or the pig farming expose.

One of the mainstream newspapers (I want to say it was the NY Times but don't quote me on that) actually did publish an article explaining what, exactly, was going on with AIG and what had happened with all the money. Interestingly, it took a similar tone ("Yes, you should be pissed at AIG and about the bailouts, in fact, you should be even more pissed than you are, because this is why they're necessary"), but used rather more neutral and clinical language to describe what was going on. Also, it didn't name names. :)

The NYT probably also didn't call Cassano "pudgy and balding, with beady eyes and way too much forehead". (:

Indeed. Probably wouldn't have been very politic. ;)
