More than 100 detainees have died in U.S. custody, and more than 30 of those have been investigated by the military as homicides.

I think it was a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game where this came up...

Jeff: "You bash him in the [roll] ...leg and he dies."
Mike: "Can you actually die from being bashed in the leg?"
Me, brightly: "Yes! Our troops in Afghanistan proved it! A couple guys hung up a prisoner and punched his legs until he died... I think a clot formed and migrated to his heart?"

Unfortunately, the humor is too black to be anything other than sick.

Also, which weekend? This last one was pretty normal. The one before it, less normal.

I totally want to hear about the interesting weekend--I didn't get a chance to ask last week. If I wait until Wednesday to hear how exciting it was and how the Alliance soldiers made out.

Sound like the great country we live in is showing signs of being like our bad, horrible, hateful enemys who use torture. I am sure that I am older than most of the people who write comments, but I for one an ashamed of what we have become.
