cyranoRecently, when I was visiting Likable_Lemur, he made a comment about the White Stripes being 'unlistenable'. I pressed him on this, and he allowed as that he'd only heard one song, and I volunteered to put together a Stripe Sampler of some of my favorite songs for him.
And while I don't know if he's converted or not, I've found myself listening to it and being reminded of how fond I am of the band and their three basic sounds.
I'd give you a play list but it's not handy, and so I'll just say that it starts with "You're Pretty Good Lookin' (For a Girl)" and ends with... "Hotel Yorba" I think.
