cyrano: (Still Flying)

The purge begins. It's the season, or at least time to start decorating for it. I have over a thousand Holiday Themed Lights which will go to the first person who shows up asking for them.

Also, for the board gamers in my crowd, I have about half a dozen board games that have been gathering dust in my closet for literally *years*. They should go to somebody who might actually make use of them. For the political historian, special interest to the 1970s game, 'Blacks & Whites'. It's funky, y'all. For the map freaks, '221 B Baker Street' contains a fanciful map of the London transit system that I will miss dearly.

EDIT: I have had claims made on 'Scotland Yard', 'Blacks & Whites', and 'All the King's Men'. Just so you know.

Oo, board games... If they haven't all gone by Thursday, could you bring them to Eb's so I can ogle them there? I could probably talk [livejournal.com profile] damien_ct into taking a couple off your hands. We like board games.

There's the aforementioned "Black & White" (a look at institutionalized and socialized racism in modern society), "221 B Baker Street" (a sort of Fox and Hounds set up on the wet gaslit cobblestones of London)(Oops, it's actually called "Scotland Yard"), "All the King's Men" (a chess style game that I adore), Shogun (A Risk-like strategy game that I dearly wanted and Ambar bought me because she's wonderful like that), and "Pathfinder" (like Battleship but with an actual map rather than random guessing).

There's also a vintage "Clue" game, but I want to find out if it has any collectible value.

I'm needing some lights for outdoors near my hot tub/around the patio. Are yours all Very Clearly Holiday, or are some multipurpose?

They're strings of multi-coloured lights with the tiny nipple shaped bulbs. They don't come in the shape of Santa Clauses or menorahs or evergreens, but people seeing them might make the association. I called them fairy lights, but that was not good for communicating with others what they were. (:

Yay! We should make arrangements. (We may also want to plug them in first to see how many of them are fully functional, but we are a lazy bastard.)

If no one's claimed "Blacks and Whites," I think that might be a nice companion for my 90s-era "Life as a Black Man" game.

No one has claimed it, and that's one I'd love to see go to a good home.

Drop me a note at cyranocyrano at the Google mails. I can give you an address and phone number, and we can work out a convenient time.

You could save the London map and just trash the game, or even make a copy of it and put that in the game.

The thing about purging is to also keep what you really treasure. It would be better off in a frame than tucked in its box, anyway.

The map *is* the board, so it'd already be matted for presentation. (:
All I would need then is some space to display art.
