Morning Outrage

So I thought my morning outrage/annoyance would be the new media buzz worrying that our president was 'annoyingly articulate'. Because G*d knows we wouldn't want the president of the most powerful nation on earth to be able to communicate.
No. See, that got trumped by My Little Cleaning Trolley, for Girls Only! Houston? Whisky Tango Foxtrot, over. Preparing our little girl childs for the joys of working with a crack hotel custodial team! Now, I'm certain that there's also a My Little Landscaping Kit that's for Boys Only, but that really doesn't help matters at all. Boys and girls have a right to work whatever menial below-minimum-wage jobs they want to, regardless of their gender.

Ridiculous! The kids in my 2 and 3 year olds Sunday School class all loved playing with cleaning toys, boys and girls alike. Any gender role in that area is certainly a learned one. Humbug!

I dunno man, I googled "annoyingly articulate" to see what you were talking about, and I just got a link back to this blog, and random complaints about child actors.

If I have children, they are going to love playing the "cleaning game" no matter what their gender. And the "bartender" game. And the "mow the lawn" game. And the "shut up while mommy is tanking in a dungeon" game.

Which is why I should probably not have kids. Unless I like playing the "Wait, why did you put me in a nursing home?!" game. I probably won't like that game.
