I think I'm going to try and get some serious packing done Saturday afternoon. If you're free, especially if you have something to haul cargo in, I'd love to see you.
There will be puttings of things into boxes, and puttings of boxes in a place where they can roam free. Odds are, this will not take long, because a lot of the stuff here either (a) is going somewhere else to be sold or given or (b) needs to be left out for the remainder of the month so I can get to it.
There may be some moving of bookshelves, but the bed has to stay assembled until February, so probably the heaviest thing will be that box of books that is way larger than I had any right to use and thus weighs as much as a tree.

I've had the expectation that you were going to be using my bed (or the futon) the first week of February, and that you would be moving your bed out by the end of the month. But, really, I guess it's just that it and everything else needs to be moved out of that room before E-- can steam clean that week, which needs to be well before the 5th so there's time for the carpet to dry. And it would probably be easier to find the transporation and people power over the weekend to do that, rather than during the week.

Just want to make sure you're taking that into account.

Yeah, I just need to get you out of your bed so that I can use it. Or, if it becomes more convenient, I'll throw some blankets on the floor for a couple of days.
(As far as transporting the bed, I may end up having to rent something.)

Well, I should be out of my bed by the time you're doing the remaining move out, so. :) And please do remember there is the futon, so you will not be sleeping on the floor, regardless.

You do know someone with a station wagon who might be favorably inclined to help you move large bulky stuff over. :)

. . . . Do I?

...Yes. I don't think I ever thought of that as a station wagon for some reason.
(We got our first call on the bureau and end table. But they're not interested.)

It is a very sporty station wagon. Not a family truckster. :)

Why did they call if they're not interested?

(Unless the bureau and end table decided they didn't want to go with them.)

They called for more details, and the two just didn't click. It's not us, it's them.

Don't take any ice cream down to the garage.
