cyranoMinor drawback of divesting myself of stuff--in the midst of writing, I say "I need something in the DVD player to contribute to the mood" and then I discover that I've got nothing that works.
Major bonus of having a girlfriend. "I can't stop just now, I'm riding that creative wave thingie. Would you please bring me up something edible? And a drink?"
