The last physical evidence of the pirate cruise is peeling off my nose. We got to shoot cannons, and shout at other boaters, and it was a beautiful day and I once again indicated that I wanted to see Alcatraz.
The yard at Avalon is shaping up very nicely. We put up the frosted-glass lawn candles on Sunday, and Megs apparently bought another several plants that I can put in the ground soon. Big social over there this Sunday, sort of the christening for it.
Tony's mom is coming to town, so he's not available for gaming. Megs has volunteered to run a Hong Kong movie RPG instead for the night.
Last night was the 'mate's birthday party at La Fondue, with 'BYO*', and I'd say that at least half of the dozen people there were trashed. All of us were loud and I think the waiter had fun. I know he was drinking with us at one point. I got all dressed up again, and lots of folks were impressed.
And I'm now getting close to the 24-hour mark of listening to the web presence of the Screaming Axolotl, the radio show l2g and I ran at KBVR lo these ten years ago. Apparently my chatter about his list and my High School mix CD inspired him to set up Live365 Station built from some of our playlists.
I think that catches everybody up. Back to looking for work.

I've turned off the station for the time being. There are some naughty words in some of the songs, and I've just discovered that this can be considered a violation of the terms-of-service. So I didn't want to needlessly jeopardize my access. On the other hand, Nothing Records have "official" stations on Live365 that seem completely unencumbered by any restrictions on "indecent" language. So I've written to Live365 and am waiting to see what they have to say.

Wah!

Okay, I managed to "fix" things by removing all of the songs I remembered having possibly questionable language and replacing as many of them as possible. Now, clocking in at three hours and two minutes, the program is just barely DMCA-compliant. So I've restarted it.

Speaking of naughty words

If you can say the 'f' word, and if LookOut records is on the approved list, how about 'Sunshine' by Screeching Weasel?
...And smile away your blues.
Cuz smilers never lose.
And frowners never win.
