We wrapped things up in Lothering and made our way to Redcliffe, where I had a lot of unfinished business. (I couldn't remember the name of my fellow Warden so I couldn't go tell his family what a wet nappy he was being before we cut him down.) And then there was a laundry list of stuff that needed to be done before the zombies attacked that night.

I got to explore the town, which was fun when I could get around the frustrating bits, and got my first view of the lake. I was amused by the 'No Swimming' sign, mostly because I knew that the clipping wouldn't let me get near the water anyway. I was kind of wondering if a giant fish or a tentacle was going to attack me as I walked on the pier, but I escaped unscathed.

I said I was going to stop the zombie attacks, and both Sten and Morrigan rolled their eyes to show me their five points of disapproval. Morrigan I could understand, but Sten's all "Must kill Darkspawn" and I have to talk to Arl Eamon about getting some support for that.

There was a kid in a closet who wouldn't give me his sword, ever, and a cute barmaid who was totally hot for me. And then there were zombies. It wasn't that any group of them were tricky or overwhelming, it's that there were, like a dozen waves with no break. (Less so once I convinced my party to Stay Put and Let Them Come to Us.)

There was much rejoicing, and Teagan said "Well thank god that's over with let's go to the castle right now meet me at the mill," and scarpered. I took this as my prompt to wrap up my earthly affairs. There wasn't much to do; mostly, I took the bar away from Sexual Harassment Lloyd and gave it to Bella, the cute barmaid, once I was pretty sure she wasn't running away with me. (I think Barmaid should be a prestige class for Ninja.)

And then I went and found Teagan (who did not have an Australian accent); coincidentally, just at that time, the... Arlessa?... Isolde runs up and says "Dude I totes just escaped from the castle to ask you to come convince your nephew Connor to leave the castle oh except there's a big evil thing holding us hostage and it said that it's okay so long as you come completely alone and don't bring anybody along who might protect you."

Cuddles and I simultaneously turned our heads sideways and whined in confusion. And Teagan said "What a *great* idea but I have to talk to my new friends alone" and then he told us that *we* should sneak in by *his* secret entrance so that... we can save him because he is totally going to need it.

So we did that thing. And we found an evil blood mage who the teryn had sent to kill the Arl and he's *really* sorry about that, but he sure doesn't know anything about any zombies and PS: Connor is an untrained mage and it's possible *he* knows something about all these dead guys, and if we just let him out he's going to fix everything.

Once Cuddles and I finished our synchronized reactions, I said "Sure I'll let you out if you follow me and if you look at me crosseyed then I cack you." He decided that his sense of honor would let him just try to fix everything from his gaol cell thanks very.

And then we climbed up into the Castle Of Dead Guys.
