Starry starry night
Jul. 11th, 2010 02:47 pmAnother tragic combination of 'good idea/no bloody sense'. The whole day/night thing was notably sad, but there were parts that I enjoyed very much. Especially if he keeps his promise to only use the sonic screwdriver for screwing screws.
I was also amused by the bit where the Doctor says that they should be sure to protect their artist friend, and it would be bad if Van Gogh got eaten by a monster. Because then his paintings would disappear. (Also, I note that rather than risk those paintings *not* being created, the Doctor's presence is perhaps the *only* reason those paintings were created.)
Although I'm still not sure why a person who's coated in timevoid stuff is affected by the cracks, the bits about Rory were very touching.
And it still made a load more sense than "The Lodger".
