cyranoThis is perhaps the greatest piece of over the top bombast I've seen during this entire campaign. I was staggered, and I admit greatly impressed, by this production from www.personhoodusa.com.
However, I still want to know, if a two week old fetus is a Person, does it have to have its own ticket on an airplane? And how will it manage to put its legal name down if we don't know its gender yet? Will we have to start naming all children 'Chris' and 'Taylor' and 'Jean' to cover our bases? Will pregnant women use carpools lanes? Will they have to wear two seatbelts--one for them and one for their Person? And don't get me started on the all you can eat buffet.
I can tell I'm in a manic phase. There are a lot more idiots out there, and I only realise I've overdone things when suddenly everything hurts so badly I can't get the cap off the Ibuprofin.
And I'm more involved in classroom discussion. Sometimes we actually talk about something class related instead of how the term 'scapegoat' comes from the old tradition of symbolically loading a goat down with physical representations of the sins of the village and then sending it out to wander in the wilderness or get eaten. So I guess that lions might have been the original sin eaters. Which I still think is a *fascinating* concept. I was glad when I finally got to include one in one of my campaigns.
Also? I tend to leap from subject to subject with no warning.
I've been listening to MBV a *lot* the past few days. Just this one song, over and over.

There's the quiet part that sounds like Cocteau Twins down to where I don't even hear the lyricss except as part of the melody. But there's that underlying tension, and you're waiting for the guitars to explode out and romp around the song until they exhaust themselves and fall over, and then their guitar-y heartbeat lends the frame so floaty ethereal Bilinda can sing some more.
EDIT: Oh yeah and also, Rivendell Rose pointed me towards this site where they take public domain book covers and make spendy t-shirts with the art. Animal Farm! Outsiders! Death of a Salesman!
