My father, working normal business hours, commuted to downtown SF for 35 years, and has repeatedly told me that if he hadn't ridden the train, he'd have gone insane long ago. And this is someone who does not have a driving phobia.
Granted I don't know how bad 101 is up there, the rule down here (in the Land of the Perpetually Crappy Freeway) to calculate travel during the commute is take your normal travel time and double it. Then add at least 15 minutes to park and get into the building.
Two hour commute. You might as well move down here, eh? Wait a moment! Didn't someone mention something about taking the train?
