Dragon Age--Snow Day!
Feb. 21st, 2011 02:42 pmMy last DA entry, back in November, started out So it had been quite a while, and while I could figure out how to move myself around the screen, I'd really pretty much forgotten what the hell I was doing.
Which is pretty much how this one starts too. Luckily, I'm at a point where the game takes you by the nose and leads you around. I started out at the far end of the Grail quest--all I had left to do was take off all my clothes and jump into a fire, and the Holy Guardian says "Dude! You're crazy enough to be a religious zealot! Have some Sacred Ashes!"
I snuck back through the Valley of the Shadow of Death without waking the dragon, and then ambled around town until I could find the way out. People of Haven cursed me for killing everybody in town, but did not in fact step up, so I went back to camp and did maintenance before heading back to Redcliffe. Everybody levelled up at least once, and Morrigan became an Arcane Warrior. Which comes into play later.
Because apparently I'd forgotten to finish the 'kid possessed by a demon' quest, and so I got to send in Morrigan, heavily armed and armored, to put down the demon girl. Which was pretty easy, especially with superbear form. And then there was the Longest Cut Scene In the World. We had a funeral, talked about Connor, fixed Eamon, talked about Eamon, talked about Loghain, talked about a Landsmeet, talked about Alastair, talked about other options, talked about a Landsmeet again, talked about Jowan.... By then, my mouse clicking finger was cramping up, so thank the Maker they turned me loose at that point and gave me a second mission to go talk to the Dwarfs to go along with my first one.

Date: 2011-02-21 07:53 pm (UTC)Yay! Playing!
I actually dragged Sian (the mage character I was playing when you were out here) out this weekend, with S&D in town, to finish up the dwarves/Orzamaar and get to the God verdammt Landsmeet. Except then I remembered I needed to pop in to finish up Sten's personal quest, and, oh yeah, max Alistair's approval out so I could trigger the "OMG I need to sleep with you" thing before the Landsmeet, and wait, right, swing by the house to confront Marjolaine, and hey! Wade is probably done with my Drake Scale armor, I should pick that up, then do the Soldier's Peak DLC, because there's an achievement I wanted to do with Sian to unlock and Achievement there, and oh, frak, BTW, I forgot to go talk to Flemeth again for Morrigan, and dammit, I really didn't do Return to Ostagar like I thought I had with Sian (conflating her with my Dalish playthrough), and did I want to 'waste' the time to run through that just to get XP (and some wifty items for
my sweet babooAlistair), and, crap, I'm out of healing potions and I need to stop by the Dalish to stock up on elfroot.Yes, I was worn out by the end of that as you are probably having read that, so I quit after doing everything but Return to Ostagar. And I still haven't actually begun the stuff in Denerim for the Landsmeet.
