So some random guy wrote to the Chron declaring that the war with al Qaeda was boiling down to a global struggle for dominance between Jesus and Mohammed.

And I keep wanting to pick up a pen and ask him how his new Xian Jihad is coming along. I have lots of other comments to make, but they just make me angrier.

What do you expect? This is the S.F. Chronicle after all, not the Washington Post, the London Times, or even the Wall Street Journal.

"The San Francisco Chronicle is read by people who aren't sure there is a country, or that anyone is running it; but whoever it is, they oppose all that they stand for. There are occasional exceptions if the leaders are handicapped minority feministic atheist dwarfs, who also happen to be illegal aliens from ANY country or galaxy as long as they are democrats."

I've been unclear, apparently.
This was somebody who approved of the idea, and was Girding Himself with the Armor of Christ. Or at least encouraging our fine young men in uniform to gird themselves for him.
Once the troops are mobilized and the infidels are destroyed, maybe he'll decide it's time to finally deal with the Jews.

Ah, then this is probably an example of what the Chron calls "equal coverage."

Please never say "Xian" again. It's the religious-philosophical equivalent of addressing people as "u." It makes you sound dumb, which you are not.

Thanks for listening.

I will take this advice to heart, and hope that X is not too offended to forgive me. (: (And it's good to hear from you--hope things are going well.)

It's not a question of anyone being offended -- it's just the equivalent of saying things like "E-Z" or "omg." Like you don't have time to type five more letters.

Or, you know, I could be a pissy language snob.

But as for me, I'm doing OK. The stories of my trials can be found in my lj, but basically you could say that things are confusing but exciting.
