I may have been disappointed in the radio station's performance, but I still have enough loyal listeners that I'm inside the top seventy out of 374 'Freeform' genre stations. (:

Also? I pretty much played Dragon Age all day today. (Still in Orzamarr! Send a rescue party!)

I did not listen to Christmas. (Sorry, I wasn't as hip four months ago as I am now.) Saint Valentine's was better organized. A warped, twisted view on love. Very satisfying counterbalance to Hallmark.

Popular really is not a musical style. It is a social commentary on a particular musical style. Thus, the label "pop" has jumped from genre to genre through the last century. Pop through the decades does not have any unifying musical features. No instrumentation, harmonic basis, etc.
