This is my last ditch effort to remain in the bay area. I'm currently living in the Santa Clara/Milpitas/San Jose area, and paying $800 a month in rent. I'm looking for someplace cheaper and potentially closer to my job at the San Francisco airport. My main caveat is that I have a queen sized bed. I also have a lot of crap, but I'm planning on purging/flensing myself as much as I can stand. Living somewhere with a net connection would be nice, and of course a huge room in a sprawling Victorian with a huge yard and a jacuzzi would be optimal.
If you have leads thoughts or ideas, here is a fine place to share them.

I'd check craigslist. You can usually find good places there. :)

Yeah, it's in my queue. But I wanted to ask my friends first; I'd like to think I'll get less psychos and crappy selfish people if they come with recommendations from folks I trust.

Ask [livejournal.com profile] lost_lethe if there are any rooms avail in her place? She shares a flat in a "queer-friendly" Vic in San Fran. From the pictures, her room looks pretty big.

The front half of our place is still open; with another person it'd be only $625 each. It's not overall as big as your current place, but there's space and then some for a queen bed in the bedrooms (come see our room for reference). And we're walking distance from CalTrain and several bus routes. Plus Stu loves commenting on the how cute the del Sol is. ;)

Well, if C-- does wind up moving out, but not here, *I* might be interested, if the landlord will allow cats. :)

She's not thrilled with the idea of pets, but she's said she'll discuss it (and ask a higher deposit), esp since her kids nextdoor have a small dog and a very sweet pig. Friends next door is always a good thing. =)

Well, that's at least a possibility, then. :) But, as C-- said, it would be mildly depressing to move in just to have you two move out. :}

This is very tempting. I will cry if just as I'm moving in you two are moving to Boston though. (:
