Con vignette

My favorite con moment so far has been in Ashworth Academy, and it's a stock moment but it was carried very well. The ragtag band of half a dozen freshmen has been thrown into a Battle Royale style high school, with mysterious elements and dangerous classes, and a winter formal that was broken up by mysterious snipers rappelling through the ceiling. Their final consists of being thrown into the woods and chased by Matrix Dogs who race along the sides of trees and a bad ass hunter.
Win, the pale geeky protection/knowledge specialist, is worried that his physical frailty will get the team killed. He has, somehow, become boyfriend to the cool Japanese girl who changes into a cat, Koneko. She's been riding on his shoulder, and during a rest point he makes her swear that she'll leave him if he slows her down. She agrees on the sole condition that he do the same. After a moment of silence, each turns to the other and says "Liar."
Sometimes the comfortable tropes are there for a reason.

What's Win's last name? I know he had one, but J couldn't find it.

It is totally not so Koneko can write "Mrs. Koneko Winston'slastname" on her notebook. Cuz that's probably against the student handbook rules. :)

It's easier than having someone do the drawing or photoshopping for our trumps. :) Even if the selection of school uniform pieces was nearly non-existent for girls.
