Update: I found out that Tersa is considering moving with me. This plan pleases me greatly, because I don't particularly want to strike out on my own and move in with strangers. We're going to try to find someplace, we've got a few leads around the area including a tasty proposition by her old apartment for about $1300. Waiting for a call back on that one...
And soon there will be young tasty sailor goodness over at Cari's.

Good luck! If that doesn't work out, I just swiped a flyer off a campus bulletin board today for a room that looked good, and thought of you:

Room for rent (13 x 11.5 with closet and 3 windows) in house with 2 male, 1 female room mates, no pets.
House is one block away from lake Merritt and close to downtown Oakland. Near Bart and AC transit bus, cross streets are Waverly and 23rd.

$600 includes all utilities (electricity, water, garbage, gas, telephone and cable TV). Street parking is usually available, but your own parking stall is avaialbe for a little extra.
