This morning the one elliptical available in the hotel spa had.... a limp. Or something similar. After five minutes, I'm pretty sure I screwed up my hip on it.
I switched over to a treadmill (bonus--the iPod thing was working) for the next 45 minutes. I don't know if this is normal, but walking around after I got done, I felt all floaty and detached and numb from the chest down. I wondered if I should be worried, but my headspace was kind of detached too.

I usually have a few minutes of physical disorientation after getting off a treadmill. I think it's that disconnect from the lower half of your body feeling like there was movement while your upper torso/head didn't actually go anywhere. When your head is suddenly moving with your legs again, there's a moment of cognitive dissonance.

I had not thought of that. I was thinking maybe it was the constant impact a treadmill has that the elliptical doesn't, but that sounds like it definitely plays a part.
Amanda also thinks 'eat breakfast before you go for a run'.

I think Amanda is very wise and you should listen to her.
