I cannot imagine anybody here who knows Arnold but isn't reading Tersa's journal, but it sounds like the little man may not be with us much longer. We have some warning, obviously--he's been poorly for a little while--and we can always hope for the best. But he's not eating. He'd always seemed pretty immortal to me, the eternal empty headed juvenile, and this reminder is a pretty solid punch in the gut. I don't know what else to say.

I barely got my fingers back.
He didn't eat much of the cheese, but when I went back to give Toast his dinner, Toast leading the charge, Arnold came trotting back as well and checked out the bag of food I left on the bed while Toast buried his face up to the eyeballs in his bowl. I wasn't really expecting much, but I went ahead and put food in the other bowl along with some treats...and Arnold started eating.
I don't know how much but I was just so relieved he ate something I didn't care.
I'm not saying things aren't grave, but they're possibly not quite as dire as I believed them to be last night and this afternoon. As long as he keeps eating...
