I think that I've spent enough time beating myself up for allowing people who are trained to take advantage of ignorance and vulnerability to take advantage of my ignorance and vulnerability. I have some culpability in this, and I'm going to pay for it over the next ten years, so the balance is clean.

Much like the mortgage thing, I think many of us make the mistake of using a moral value to evaluate a business decision. This does not make you a bad person. It makes you a fiscal person. :)
