Apparently I bought the spiffy deluxe Mass Effect pack, and it came with a soundtrack. Which was cool, because I'd just been in Afterlife and thought "That's kind of groovy. I wonder if they made this available to own."

Alas. Afterlife apparently has its own soundtrack, because neither of the tracks are part of the download.

EDIT: Also? I was attacking the bloodguard so I could cure the plague--I took cover and then couldn't do anything. The headsup said I was 'blocked'. WTF does that mean, and does it happen to anybody else? I let Jake and Elwood kill everybody, figuring that once combat was over it'd clear up, but it didn't.

Well, I guess that video will do it, too, but I actually meant if you wanted a music file version. :)

Huh. I've never had that happen to me, I don't think. But you do seem good at finding the corner case bugs. :)

(So, how is it going? I saw you were playing last night when I popped on to play a little ME3).

I picked up the Professor and Garak. I need to drop off the datapad and then I can be done with Omega. I think I may go to the Citadel next, and try to find a cheat for mining so I can get some resources.

Cheating mining is easy on PC. :D

1. Download the Gibbed's ME2 Save Tool

2. Start the game and create a new numbered Save (not Quick Save, although you can do that. I just prefer to use a numbered save file for this.)

3. Quit out at least back to the Main Menu (you don't have to shut the game down completely).

4. Run the Gibbed .exe

5. Go to [Open File] and find your most recent Save File.

I've found Gibbed's is pretty smart and starts you where your Career Files are located (generally %USER%\My Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 2\Save), so all you need to do is double-click on the folder of your Shepard's name (which will look like 'John_[bunch of numbers]') The saves are named like 'Save_####.pcsav')

Open your most recent save.

6. The default page will show you some general stats about your character like name, Background, Psych Profile, Level, etc. on the left hand side.

On the right, there will be a bunch of boxes with number values for the resources and credits.

I go ahead and brute force both of them. I tend to give myself 9,999,999 credits and 5,000,000 of each elemental resource. Both of those are plenty enough to get you through the game.

7. Hit the [Save] icon. It'll prompt you for the filename you want to save it as. I usually create a NEW file with the next incremental number so I have the original as a backup, just in case.

So if you loaded in 'Save_0010.pcsav', I save my modded version as 'Save_0011.pcsav'.

8. Go into the 'Load Game' option in the Main Menu and manually select your Shepard and go into the files. Load the save file with the slot number of the NEW file you just created.

If you go into the [ESC] menu, you should see your vast riches. :)

Are there adventures that come up while mining, like in the first game? I see there's a Thresher Maw. Basically, how much fun will I miss out on if I say "mining? screw that!"
