We're early because I'm late. I wanted to be done with this by March but I've been kind of useless. So your job is to help me finish up characters by supplying me with eighties teen movie archetypes. Like the nerd who does a Superman-like transition into the hottie once you take off the glasses.

I'm...not sure there aren't any "eighties teen movie archetypes" that aren't also present in the greater culture to a greater or lesser degree. But here are some that come immediately to mind:

*Lovable prankster (Ferris Bueller).
*Principal/teacher/authority figure bent on whipping these snappers into shape (Ed Rooney, Ted's father who wants to send him to military school in Alaska).
*Snooty cheerleader/prom queen (literally any teen movie ever, though Taylor whassername from She's All That is the first one that comes to mind).
*Overprotected princess secretly desiring danger.
*Rebel without a cause. May quote Shakespeare, just to show he's smarter than people give him credit for.
*Sad-sack who can't see how his relationships are constantly ending because he's a sad-sack (John Cusack in any movie ever).
*Overachieving kid of overachieving parents so bent on getting into Harvard he doesn't realize he has no real-world experience (Joel Goodsen).
