Health Update
Oct. 28th, 2013 09:39 pmFor those who are behind, and for my mother who will call me five or six times instead of responding to my email. (:
Last night and this morning I entertained a guest--some really spectacular joint pain, some muscle pain, and some ancillary bone pain. Like the three bears of crying and not going to work. And making a doctor's appointment!
Here's the shake down from that.
First possibility: the pain is an indication that the antibiotics are working, and it's dead little bastards clogging my system that make me hurt. Yay.
Second possibility: Lyme disease or one of its relatives. Blood tests will return on that in about a week. (Just before I leave for Portland.) Less yay.
Third possibility: Polymyalgia Rheumatica, which is basically an inflammation of the muscles or blood vessels, and I'm getting a dose of steroids for that right now.
I am hoping to go to work tomorrow, largely because Shane has been doing my job and his for over a week. Also, my pumpkin needs updating. He had a mouth, a nose, and a hat when I left. At this point, I've forgotten everything I learned about the new job, and I'm on course to re-learn it just in time for the aforementioned departure.
