So I completely failed to find somebody to work the Saturday that I stupidly agreed to take. So there will be no Arrrrbeque for me since I will be at work from 3 until 11. q:
I'm feeling tired and sore and cranky and vaguely ill. I think I was extremely bitchy today, so of course it was the day that folks from St George were at work asking if there were people who wanted to comment on what SkyWest could do to make things run better.
And then Tony (my grandboss) nudged me and said 'take the mike, man'. And I quietly informed him that I don't take the mike unless there's a turntable attached.
And thus I was virtuous and didn't mention how sick I am of everything being broken and the faction at United that want us to look like a second-rate rinky dink operation and the ongoing 'Do More With Less' motto. (Just once I'd like to get a job in an industry which isn't in the middle of a steep decline hurtling towards a crash and a burn.)

Oh yeah. And I got those new meds and haven't taken a single one because I lost them before I could start, and now I can't find them. She wants to see me again in two weeks, and I'm looking forward to telling her that.

Maybe a phone call to your doctor before you see her might be in order? Or is this some kind of megalithic HMO that refuses to recognize your existance unless you jump up and down screaming on the desk in person? [I don't know about these things as I have had no medical need (knock wood) to visit a doctor since I was 10. By that time, I had had enough of doctors anyway, but that's a long story not fit for print.]

I'm sorry to hear your life is crappy. Think happy thoughts. You live in the Bay Area and have a job! Not too many can still claim that.

Hrm. I suppose I could give that a try.
And I readily admit my life is not crappy, just my mood.
(Although, my life could be better if it wanted to and I wouldn't mind.)

I saw a package of what looked like meds--and unless the cats are more intelligent than I know, I assume they are yours--on the dining room table. As far as I know, they're still there, just may be hiding in the several re-arranges of Crap (tm) that have been done to clear one usable space at that table for the purpose of eating.

If these are even the meds you're referring to. :)

Yeah, just once, wouldn't it be nice to work for a company wasn't "Do more with less" but was more like... "We'll give our employees the tools they need to get the job done!"

Refreshing, wouldn't it be?
