cyranoDue to unfortunate circumstance, I built up ten years of moving/relocating karma in California and then needed to call on it here, some distance away. However, I have always depended upon the kindness of strangers. Today's question, thus, is "Can I bum a lift?"
Next Thursday, the 18th, I fly out of Flint to Alaska. And on Tuesday the 23rd, I fly into Detroit. Which is a bit problematic, as you might see.
My flight leaves Flint at 0550 Thursday, which is hellaciously early even before I add on the Bonus Security Time. I arrive in Detroit at about 1420 on Tuesday. I'm trying to find a ride to Flint (not that scary, really) from Lake Orion, a ride from DTW to Lake Orion, or possibly I drive to Flint and then get a ride from DTW up to Flint and pick up the car, or a ride to Flint and then get a shuttle bus from Detroit... I don't think there's a shuttle bus thing to Flint, but I haven't checked yet. Anyway, my point here is that there are a variety of options here, and it is unfortunate that most of them are not available as a single player option. Thinking of not sleeping on Wednesday night? Hey, me too! We could go for an early morning drive! If you have a convertible, we could even peel off the lid.

....and John threw a curve ball where we go up to Flint the night before, make a party of it, and I get a hotel room with shuttle privs. Looks like about $85.
I should ask how you get quotes from Uber. My app is reluctant to talk about anything but 'send me a car please'.
