A Falling Out amongst friends

cyranoMy girlfriend doesn't punch people's heads off any more because I bought her a shiny new thermal lance.
But the problem right now is my DLC companion, Watches Chalk, in the Honest Hearts excursion. I love that he doesn't require an invitation to attack somebody before they've drawn blood on me, but his dialogue is the worst kind of 'I am just a naive savage but I'm full of the deep natural wisdom that I derive from my spiritually pure life'.
Also, many of the native NPCs have gone just to the brink of but not quite to the point of saying 'How'.
