Come on, people. If you want to hire Jesus to be your paid thug, then he does expect to get *paid*. If you want him to lean on Ruth Bader Ginsberg and 'convince' her that she's not feeling well enough to keep up the lifestyle of a Supreme Court Justice, you'll have to pony up. And Jesus doesn't take American Express.

Date: 2003-07-22 11:30 pm (UTC)Dear Ol' Pat also seems to have taken leave of his senses in Supreme Court timing. While they *can* retire at any point, they usually do so at the end of the term, giving a heafty amount of lead time for a successor to be chosen and approved. The last term ended about a month ago.
Re Iraq: But we kinda, sorta, maybe killed the two younger Husseins. Doesn't that count for anything? [FWIW I'm expecting a retraction of this claim any minute. Both sons were together in the same place? You gotta be kidding!
