I think I need to look at changing my medications again. Since I went back up to full dosage, I have either not been any more energized or I've been doing more because I don't feel any less tired. On top of that, I am far more irritable and angry and despairing and all those violent negative emotions. Maybe that's where my extra energy is going.
For the first time in two and a half years, my life is feeling manageable again. I can pay my bills and even save a little for things like taking the car to the shop. I'm not doing as much around the house as I'd like, or seeing people socially, but these are minor bumps.
However. My job is more frustrating, I am more resistant to 'doing what needs to be done to survive today' when I find it an unpalatable long-term solution, people are stupider, and I am fiercely dissatisfied with nothing in particular.
I am less tolerant of my own failures along with everybody else's. My emotions are more virulent--the medication appears to be exacerbating my manic depression rather than dealing with it. Maybe I'm not manic depressive or I'm not any more and I'm just depressed. I don't know. I've got an appointment next Thursday with the doctor who doesn't prescribe medication. I'll sit down with her and tell her this and see what she does.
Maybe she'll have me sedated and put in protective. Maybe she'll recommend group therapy. Which I think will be useless to me. Maybe she'll have thoughts on new meds. Maybe she'll just nod and hum pensively.

Well, I can wish you good luck, but that's about as useful as I am right now... :-P

I just last night checked the messages on my cellphone - thanks for the heads up :-)
Might just have to go get a copy of the Cowboy Bebop movie, since I have Bloodlust already...
On the downside, no more cellphone for me. Too expensive for the total lack of service. AT & T Wireless is now as bad as MCI Worldcom was two years ago...
So, should you wish to contact, the home # of (408) 246-2665 is 'bout it... but at least we consistantly check the messages there :-)

And if we receive strange calls from random people/institutions we don't know 'cos I posted that here... don't worry, we enjoy the art of harassing such callers ;-)

Thanks for the update, hon. (I also found a disc labelled 'Record of Lodoss Wars' which I have no further information on...)

My sympathies. Brain chemistry imbalances suck.

Then there's when you find the perfect remedy, and because some idiots abuse it, it stops being made. That happened to me. *sigh*

Best of luck with the doctor. You're a nice, creative guy and deserve better than seeing the world through pissed off lenses.

HUGS, honey.

I swear, finding someone who can treat depression is a crap-shoot sometimes. When I developed serious depression and anxiety issues after my mom died, the first doc I went to promptly drugged me into oblivion with Xanax; I was still depressed and anxious, but I was too stoned most of the time to care. Took a couple of years, but I finally found a doc who actually treated the cause of the problems instead of just medicating the symptoms.

More HUGS. You'll get through this. And you're always welcome here if you need some r&r.

My first doctor, who I don't recall, decided that I was depressed and prescribed.... *some* sort of tricyclicate which pretty much worked that way--it wrapped me up in a big fuzzy grey styrofoam sheet and softened all my pointy edges. It didn't make me any less depressed, it just kind of made me groove on being down.
And I have to come back to meet the kitties. (: But I'm not coming until you make the weather behave.
