So because I am an idiot (and because I haven't yet learned to say 'no' to Mel) last Friday I agreed to go to Death Guild again this week. So now I'm up, and today at work should be interesting, although I did get pretty close to six hours of sleep, which is better than some nights.
Anyway, let me say that this week with earplugs was much more enjoyable. I liked the music more than some of my companions (still too much raverchow, but some of it was cool. plus first time I'd ever heard Duran Duran at a goth club.) but failed to see 'Touch Myself Too Much' Boy. I am forced to consider that he is a figment of an overactive imagination. However, I did get to see 'Somebody Else Touch Me Too Much' Girl and the usual component of dancers; Guy With His Hand Glued To The Small Of His Back, If I Move A Foot With Every Beat It's Just Like Dancing, Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting, Pardon Me While I Swoop, and Spooky Performance Art Girl. But, like I said, at least they're out there doing their thing and having fun. If I enjoy them too, that's gravy.
There was a Zatz, a JimWeasel and a Mel, as well as a handful of boys in drag and a couple of schoolgirls and cheong sams. The red/black bellydancing hottie from last time did not make an appearance, alas. I think many people were either at Burning Man or other holiday events.
So. Thank you for indulging a kink, Mel; Bert and Ernie definitely work, Zatz; JimWeasel, the utilikilt is totally hot.
Now for ten hours at work and then dying.

Oh. I forgot the Delerium give away. The new album is apparently out, and although I didn't win a copy I did score a promo disc with a couple of the new tracks on it.

You weren't able to post for awhile (or was that just comments) and your posts weren't allowing comments when you could.

Oh ah! Yes, I got the 'comments' thing back in my journal entries.
And LJ support says they're aware of the problem of not being able to *leave* comments.
They're working on a fix, but it's not live yet.

I love The Chauffeur; I really do. It remains one of my most favorite songs ever.

I keep forgetting about Death Guild. I would have totally joined you last night. I need to write myself a big note or something.

I don't go every week. (In fact I usually don't go since it requires somebody driving my ass there since I refuse to drive in San Francisco.) So give me some warning. (:
I'd love to go clubbing with you.
(I'm thinking of going to Sin and the Club Slick/Wicked City 'Back to School' special in September also.)

AAAAAAAAAGH! New Delerium CD! *goes berserk due to lack of CD store w/in pregnant walking distance (much shorter than regular walking distance)*

I'm better now...
In Pittsburgh, Duran Duran turned up often in the playlist for the Goth club night.
And we had Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting and Spooky Performance Art Girl too, but we also had the Pole-Humper, who seemed to have an unnatural attraction to the support columns at either end of our li'l dance floor. ...Do people here do the lightbulb dance? (Reach up and unscrew a lightbulb that isn't there. Very goth. At least in Pittsburgh.)

I am told that "Touch Myself Too Much Boy"'s last name is "Hump A Pillar".

There was one 'traditional goth girl' dancer, with the moves like 'Pick A Penny Up On the Floor, Climb Up the Ladder and Give it to God'. Reminded me a lot of an ex.
