As a note to my friends of the Christianic persuasion who read my journal, this is not an ad hominem attack on the church. This is an ad hominem attack on William Bloody Boykin. G-Bu, can you please put a leash on your morons before even Tony Blair is forced to admit that he hates the United States?

More to the point, General Boykin opines that the failure of past Islamic terrorist initiatives has had ultimately to do with the fact that the Muslim God, Allah, is "an idol." As opposed to the Christian God, God, who is, you know, God.

I'm sure it warms the cockles of Muslim hearts across America to know that one of the Bush administration's top terrorism czars regards Islam as a false religion. (That this is the unexpressed but necessary assumption of many fundamentalist Christians is a larger problem, but one that has always, implicitly, been with us.)

Then again, smart people aren't politicians, they are scientists and the people who pay the politicians to do their dirty work.

Oh and for the sake of sakes sake...
I personally believe they are all the same God, or facets of the same God...
