cyranoQuietly waiting the half hour before we depart for the BART station, and then up to the city and then to Rent and dinner afterward at Max's.
There. That should be enough hypertext to keep all you freaks happy for a while. The only thing I didn't do was link 'the city' to the sf.gov page.
I've heard mostly mediocre reviews of this cast, but I'll do what I can to enjoy the show. It is, after all, my birthday present to myself, so it would be rude not to.
Last night there was a social over at Entropy House with lots of food and talking and music and alcohol. I hadn't seen much of Merlin's crowd for quite some time, so it was nice to touch base again. I got to see the aforementioned Merlin, and his brand new fiance (still has that new-fiance smell) Lynette, Iago, Chris and Doctor Heather. I also got to see Blue Haired Angie, who I still see on occasion at games but not very much. (And no I'm not going to hyperlink to each of their home pages. Bah.) I don't know if she was being dour and overpessimistic, but Angie mentioned something about AltaVista going under. And I mentioned my plan to take over the world in Neil's game and she buttonholed me later to insist that I email her about it. (:
Entropy House. That's right. The reason I decided to actually log in this morning.
I was raised in a college town, where the naming of houses was very prevalent. Mad House, Zachary House, Sigma Phi Nothing, and such. I don't know if this was a geek thing, a Corvallis thing, a college thing, or what. But I'm still pleased it continues here. Several of the houses here are also named. Maybe it's a 'several people living in the same place' thing.
