Fedoras: My taste in clothing tends to be retro--clothes today are boring, and so I try to find the fun stuff from the past and use them. Also, fedoras are things that the cool characters in classic movies wore. Bogart. Sinatra. Harrison Ford. If I could wear hats (and I really can't--my head's too big and I get way too hot) my life would be almost complete.

Ofra Haza was a Yemeni/Israeli pop singer who took her native folk songs and gave them a dance beat. She died a few years ago of AIDS, after hiding it for who knows how long because of the social stigma surrounding it.
The Bureau is the Bureau of Arcane Affairs (The BAA) from my Ar Noir game. A secret government agency created to deal with the sudden appearance of magic. The players had a rather involved love/hate/fear relationship with the Bureau, trying to decide if I'd set them up as the Big Bad or as the White Knight.
