You brought that chocolate thing and we ate it squatting in the grass in front of the movie theatre. I think it was supposed to be frozen, but we'd waited too long to eat it and it dripped down our forearms as we tried to pick up squishy, melting chunks. I think you'd called me that morning and told me to bring spoons, but I had forgotten. We laughed so hard, chocolate dripping into our sleeves and onto the grass. After, we tried to clean ourselves up with scratchy paper napkins we'd pilfered from the sandwich shop, but we both still had chocolatey smears on our elbows when we went in to see the film. I remember trying to suck the dried chocolate sauce from between my fingers and watching you laugh at Myrna Loy on the screen.
