School starts at Humbolt University on Monday.

Because both of the women who broke down in tears when I had to deny them boarding on their flights to Eureka told me. And then I had to explain to them why, despite the fact that they had bought tickets for their flights, and had followed all the rules (probably anyhow--I don't know) they were still going to either spend the night in San Francisco or try to arrange some sort of ground transportation from Redding to Eureka. Of course, this was after working my ass off trying to pimp the boarding area for volunteers who would be willing to stay overnight in exchange for rewards, and receive the random vague threats and complaints from people who might also end up on the list of people who get yanked off the flight if I can't find anyone to volunteer. All in all, it was the sort of day that I don't look forward to repeating in any hurry.

In other news, I had two standby passengers for a flight last week, travelling together, named Gothey and Bleakley. I could not make this stuff up.

Ah, that brings back memories of flying into and out of PUW. (Figure that code out, baby!) I was never bumped, but I typically arrived obscenely early at the airport.

Doh -- that sucks. Having seen you in action, I have to say that at least they were told kindly and treated respectfully (which is about the best you can expect in that situation). *HUG*
