So there was a movement in Santa Ana to rename John Wayne airport to 'The OC', after the hit teen-drama television show. And last night I got to thinking; what happens if, god forbid, the show is cancelled? Would they have to rename it? The MacNeill-Lehrer Airport?

Favorite CNN moment this morning: "Now, remember, oil is used to make gasoline."

Um, dear, you are a little behind. That moronic idea was squashed by the outcry of sensible people (and John Wayne fans) months ago.

Moot point. I labelled the idea in the past tense, and whether it succeeded or not had little to do with my speculations at the time--purely hypothetical speculations.
But I am comforted by the collective wisdom of the population of Orange County. (:
