I was tired, and went to bed early despite a guest being downstairs. (Well. She's not really a guest anymore. She came over to hang out and sew.) So of course when I got upstairs I couldn't actually go to sleep. Started thumbing through Strangers in Paradise back issues for something soothing to do, and it worked. I love these fictional characters as if they were real people. Sometimes it makes me nervous. But it won't stop me from jumping at the next Graphic Novel, which comes out in September.
If you're not already buying them, I can only poke you in the temple and ask why not.
I need to sleep, but can't. I overslept the alarm this morning, which is a good sign that it's time to change the music I'm using as my alarm. But tomorrow I'm supposed to go up to Walnut Creek for the final fitting of my last birthday present--a nice Victorian shirt that I can wear to the game in a week. (Yeah yeah. I'd hyperlink that if I could remember Neil's URL but I can't so you'll just have to wing it or look at earlier entries.)
Maybe the secret to journal entries with what feels like some meat (and looks like aimless rambling) is to wait until I'm overtired and overstimulated. Literary masterpiece or rambling confusing wordspew? You be the judge.

But even Bethannee likes Strangers in Paradise. I don't think anyone could /fail/ to enjoy that story and those characters.
