Apparently through work I get a deal at 24 Hour Fitness.
No start up fees, and $35 a month for the Sport Clubs, which I believe are the ones that are largely to be found around here; I'm pretty sure the one at San Antonio is a Sport Club.
(A) Can I justify this expense fiscally? Can I afford another $35 a month?
(B) Can I justify the expense personally? Would I use the membership enough?

These are the thoughts I am thinking today.

Oh. Also I'm pissed off. I just got my new card from my new medical insurance provider because for the third time in two years I've been forced to find a new insurance program because the one I'm on has been discontinued. Which means the work I did for the sleep research is invalid and I have to start all over again.

Hmmm

So are you the type to just go to a gym to work out? And if not are there say, interesting classes or something available through this membership? If not, I can't possibly see the benefits of shelling out $35 a month just to make yourself feel bad because you're not using it. I can tell you from experience that the old "If I pay for it then I'll use it" almost never works.

On the other hand, if you want when the weather gets nice perhaps we could start walking together on Mondays. We live in a great area for it, and I've been walking a few blocks each night after work when it isn't pouring. It's quite nice and very relaxing as well as good exercise.

With this schedule, I can see myself stopping in after work. I'd still rather have a treadmill in the living room, but there's no space and it's a big investment.
And even if I do get a membership, I still think walking would be a fine idea.
