Enough middle fingers
Jan. 27th, 2005 11:19 amThe task of deciphering my brand new health care plan is exactly the sort of thing I should tackle when I'm feeling sick. I'd like to go see somebody in Urgent Care. Somewhere. Preferrably not Dublin. While 28 of the doctors on staff at the PAMF Los Altos are on my network, I cannot confirm that the Urgent Care there is on network. The hospital on Grant is on network, although what that exactly means is unclear. (Are all the doctors there in network? All the departments?) And I can't just call the facilities and ask if they're in network because apparently they have no idea.
At this point, drowning in my own phlegm sounds like a more pleasant alternative.
EDIT: The exceedingly competent PAMF advice nurse referred me to the Insurance Folks at the Palo Alto center, who said I was probably covered. And I have pants! Next stop: Wellville!
