Thus begins another scattered 'while at work' post.
Raspberry Sours Altoids: My expectations may have been low after the Apple Sours debacle, but these manage to maintain the delicate taste of raspberry and still be considered sour without overwhelming the flavor of the candy with Just Sour. I approve.
Things to do tonight before bed: Trip to the gym. Do the dishes. Clean the stinky cat butt.
There's another crush meme making the rounds, and I'm supposed to post and invite people, anonymously if neccessary, and tell me whether or not they've fallen victim to my rakish charms. I've decided against that, but think that if you did then you should tell me (here or a phone call or just ask me out).
And so far Da_Zhuang Wilson_Lizard and Tavella are on the fast track for being named Cyrano's most artistic friend as the icon contest draws to a close. I'm looking at LJ communities with lots of posted sharable icons. Does anybody have any sources they particularly approve of or have had good results from?
Today on the news G-Bu told me that we have a 'Moral Imperative to err on the side of life'. This is obviously not an example of his relentless flip-flopping, but this is the guy who, as governor of the Great Nation of Texas, allowed minors and the mentally handicapped to be executed. He also signed off on a bill that, in grandly simplified terms, would have allowed the Schiavo feeding tube to be pulled 'with moral imperative' if her husband were unable to pay the horrendous hospital bills that are building up. And then, as president, he has shown little interest in protecting the men being held as 'enemy combatants' (often having committed the crime of standing somewhere within reach of somebody who could arrest or 'disappear' them) who may well be dying today of exposure, wounds inflicted during captivity, or 'unfortunate accidents'.
Also, I forced myself to write at least a rough treatment of a gaming summary, despite my lack of creativity. So it sucks, but it's written. I'm still not pleased with my general lack of energy recently, especially when it comes to creative endeavors although I'm not thrilled about the lack of maintenance I'm doing either.
