cyranoSo after minimal heartache, I managed to get the hard drive swapped out, and I now have a practical knowledge and understanding of jumpers.
But now my old music playing software won't work until I figure out what my registration number is, and I still don't like the new one. (This may change as I get used to it and figure out how to do things in it.) I lost all my playlists. And there's a lot of bookkeeping that will need to be done with the change over. But it also means I have an excuse to do more bookkeeping that I'd been avoiding because I didn't want to do it.
So I have the day off, and despite the fact that the construction across the street started up again and I couldn't sleep in things are so far going well. Fingers crossed on that.
