Four poster dull torpor
Jun. 25th, 2001 10:40 amApparently nobody got enough sleep Saturday night, and this morning the 'mate appears to be sick a-bed. (The bedroom door is shut. The car is probably in the drive but I haven't checked this yet.)
Lance's journal is much much cooler than mine, and he says things in a far more attractive and literary manner. Even if he is my secret clone, which just goes to show that he's got a lot of nerve.
I just finished reading his commentary on bookshelves and sorting books to go on them, which once again reminded me of my firm and steadfast belief that there ought to be some way to write soft links into a bookshelf so that a book which ought to be filed in two places (Something like Asimov's book on Shakespeare which should go with the drama and should also go with the rest of Asimov's books) could have a virtual location. Ideally, it would take up about as much space as one of those three-ring binder seperators, so it can be seen but not cause hopeless clogging.
Today is to be a running errands day--off to the light rail, and the bus, and all sorts of exciting public transport things. Must deposit enough money into my account so the rent cheque clears. Must buy goop for the Fairy Feast on the First. This in particular involves getting to Debbie-Lynn's Closet, which is in a part of Sunnyvale that 'you can't get there from here'.
There was a particular reason I wanted to get logged in and write before I left the house, but I cannot now recall it. But for not having anything to say, I seem to have put a lot of words on paper.
